This complete walkthrough is for Level 9 of You Must Escape.
You found yourself in a room and will need to find the key to open the door in order to escape. In this level, many clues are hidden within plain sight that will lead you to the passcode for the wooden chest where door key is contained.
1. Table: Go over to the vanity table. Grab the record in the top drawer.
2. Gramophone : Place the record on the player. A scroll will appear in the horn.
3. Painting: You will need to retrieve a second scroll. The word “James” is inscribed on the top right hand corner of the painting of a man and a dog.
4. Bookshelf: Pick up the book with title “James”. Second scroll is hidden underneath the book. Comparing the scrolls, you just decipher the password to the bottom drawer of the vanity table: “Victory”.
5. Drawer: Key in the password “Victory”. Get the screwdriver from inside.
6. Posters: Looking at the wall posters. Disregard all the T’s, the E’s on the posters spell out “951”.
7. Chest: You are now ready to unlock the chest. First, unlock the chest with the passcode “951” that you decipher form the wall posters. Second, loosen the screws with the screwdriver from the drawer. Finally, you find the key to the front door.
8. Door: Use the key to open the door and you have escaped!
